James Peel

James W. Peel attended California State University Fresno from 1977 to 1981, receiving a Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration.  Mr. Peel then worked as a public school teacher for the Madera County School District while attending San Joaquin College of Law in Fresno.

While still in law school, Mr. Peel worked as a law clerk at the Fresno office of Ericksen, Arbuthnot, Brown, Kilduff and Day.  Upon passing the Bar, he was hired as an associate attorney, and was elevated to Partner in 1988.  In 1994, Mr. Peel became one of the founding members of the firm of Brown & Peel, which in 2007 was reformed as Peel, Garcia and Stamper and in 2012, Peel | Garcia LLP.

As an attorney with over 20 years of civil litigation experience, Mr. Peel has represented individuals, businesses and public entities with respect to a wide array of legal issues.  Mr. Peel has received excellent trial results in cases involving medical malpractice, contractors liability, premises liability, general negligence and agricultural claims.

In addition to his work for his own clients, Mr. Peel has served as Judge Pro Tem for the Fresno County Superior Court.

Mr. Peel is a member of the California State Bar Association, the Fresno County Bar Association, and the Association of Northern California Insurance Defense Counsel.
